|
I am a professional composer and radio producer, working since graduation from university in 1975. Most of my work has been in the area of electronic, electro-acoustic and computer music. My earliest training was in western classical music, but over time I developed strong interests in many musical cultures and forms, including jazz improvisation, classical music from non-western cultures, and folk and pop idioms from around the world. I am especially interested in the use of digital technology and computer based instruments and tools in live performance, recording, and radio production as well as in new and emerging media
1975年大学を卒業以来，プロの作曲家・ラジオプロデューサーとして働いています．
私の作品はエレクトロニック・エレクトロアコースティック・コンピューターミュージックの分野です．西洋のクラッシック音楽から勉強を始めましたが，その後多岐に渡る音楽文化や形式，例えば即興ジャズ・非西洋クラッシック音楽・世界中の民族音楽やポップスにどんどん魅かれていきました．特にライブパフォーマンスやレコーディング・ラジオ番組或いは新しいメディア形態において，ディジタルテクニックやコンピューターベースの楽器を使う事に興味が有ります．

Seminar techniques include reading and discussion, active listening, attending performances, composition, recording production, broadcast and web-based radio production.
Students will be expected to present their works for open criticism and discussion by fellow seminar members Seminar members will be expected to have already taken the following lecture courses: Basic Art (Zokei Kisso).
Students should have familiarity with the works of Iannis Xenakis, Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, and also must demonstrate the ability to program in Max/MSP and have demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of acoustics and DSP theory.
ゼミではディスカッション・リスニング・作曲・レコーディングと共に，プロジェクトとしてコンサート運営・ CD制作・ウェブラジオ番組制作などに取り組みます．学生は自分の作品を発表し，オープンに批評やディスカッションを行います．一年次
の造形基礎の授業が役立つでしょう．
イアニス・ゼナキス，カールハインツ・ストックハウゼン，ジョン・ケージなどに興味が有ると好ましく，Max/MSPプログラムの学習・習得を目指すと共に基本的な音響学や DSP理論も必要です．
