- Chukyo Junior College established, with Seimei Umemura inaugurated as the first president.

- The 40th anniversary celebrated, with the aspiration of becoming a "university open to society"
- Center Building completed on Nagoya Campus
- Open College launched to offer liberal arts courses to the public
1995
- Academic programs expanded to include eight undergraduate schools and 8 graduate schools
- First Japanese university to join the International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP)
- Chukyo High School became affiliated with the University, advancing integration of the high school and university curriculum

- Smoking banned in all buildings on campus

2000
- Eiji Ogawa inaugurated as the sixth president
- School of Psychology launched, the first at a Japanese private
- university, by reorganizing the Department of Psychology,
- School of Letters
2001
- Chukyo University Aoki-Lake Seminar House completed
2004
- Academic programs expanded to include 11 undergraduate
- schools and 11 graduate schools
- Our football ground became the first JFA-authorized artificial grass football pitch in Japan
2005
- Recreation Club awarded the Medal with Green Ribbon

- Completion of Ice Arena, the only rink dedicated to figure skating in Japan

- The number of alumni exceeded 100,000

- The Library and Academic Hall Building and the Headquarters Building completed on Nagoya Campus

- The number of Olympians from both the Summer and Winter Games who are affiliated with Chukyo University totaled 96
